National Kidney Month presentation by Jessica Quintilian, Senior Director of Field Services for Central Maryland, National Kidney Foundation of Maryland.
March is National Kidney Month and the National Kidney Foundation is calling on all Americans to #HeartYourKidneys. Jessica will present on the importance of taking care of your kidneys and how the LPN can get engaged with the National Kidney Foundation’s mission.
Goodwill’s Buena Alianza program by Barry Graham, Latino Engagement Specialist, Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake, Inc.
Barry will provide an overview of how Goodwill’s Buena Alianza program is helping to prepare the Latino community with job readiness skills and to find gainful employment in Baltimore City and surrounding areas. The presentation will also discuss partnerships and share recent success stories of Latino participants enrolled in the program.
Sanctuary Streets Baltimore Court Support program by Andrew Reinel
Sanctuary Streets is a volunteer-led initiative where trained volunteers are accompanying immigrant community members to their court dates or check-ins, whether those be for a civil, criminal, or immigration case. Andrew will share information about his group and seeks input from our members on how his program could help meet current needs that aren’t being met in the community.
